TBNEWSPOLRESKUBURAYA.COM, KUBU RAYA – Kebakaran hebat melanda sebuah rumah semi permanen di Dusun Kampung Baru I, Desa Simpang Kanan, Kecamatan Sungai Ambawang, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, pada Sabtu malam (21/9) sekitar pukul 19.20 WIB. Diketahui rumah tersebut milik Nirin lansia berumur 79 tahun.
Kapolsek Sungai Ambawang, IPTU Raimondus Nonnatus Gawe saat dikonfirmasi melalui Kasubsi Penmas Polres Kubu Raya AIPTU Ade membenarkan peristiwa kebakaran tersebut, Ade mengatakan, peristiwa itu bermula ketika Nirin membakar ayam di tungku dan menggorengnya menggunakan kompor gas sebagai persiapan acara Maulid Nabi. Sekitar pukul 18.30 WIB, Nirin bersama istrinya, Ihye, meninggalkan rumah untuk menghadiri acara Maulid Nabi di rumah tetangganya, Sahidin.
” Sekitar pukul 19.00 WIB, Nirin diberitahu oleh saksi Holil bahwa rumahnya terbakar. Saat itu Nirin langsung bergegas pulang,” kata Ade, Senin (23/9).
Lanjut Ade, Holil bersama warga berupaya memadamkan api dengan menggunakan ember. Namun, api semakin membesar. Kemudian Holil berinisiatif mengambil mesin pompa air dari rumah Ustadz Fauzan untuk membantu memadamkan api. Upaya tersebut akhirnya berhasil memadamkan api sekitar pukul 21.00 WIB.
” Kebakaran ini diduga disebabkan oleh kelalaian pemilik rumah yang lupa mematikan kompor saat meninggalkan rumah. Namun petugas Polsek Sungai Ambawang masih melakukan penyelidikan lebih lanjut untuk memastikan sebab terbakarnya rumah korban,” ujar Ade.
Bangunan semi permanen yang terbuat dari kayu dan semen tersebut hangus terbakar, dan korban mengalami kerugian materi diperkirakan mencapai Rp 60 juta.
” Beruntung tidak ada korban jiwa dalam peristiwa ini. Kami dari Polres Kubu Raya mengimbau kepada masyarakat untuk lebih berhati-hati saat meninggalkan rumah. Pastikan semua peralatan masak dan listrik dalam kondisi aman agar kejadian serupa tidak terulang di masa depan,” tambahnya.

Fire Destroys Elderly Resident’s House in Sungai Ambawang, Losses Estimated at 60 Million Rupiah
TBNEWSPOLRESKUBURAYA.COM, KUBU RAYA – A severe fire engulfed a semi-permanent house in Kampung Baru I Hamlet, Simpang Kanan Village, Sungai Ambawang District, Kubu Raya Regency, on Saturday night (21/9) around 19:20 WIB. The house belonged to Nirin, a 79-year-old elderly resident.
The Chief of Sungai Ambawang Police, IPTU Raimondus Nonnatus Gawe, confirmed the incident through the Head of the Public Relations Subdivision of Kubu Raya Police, AIPTU Ade. Ade stated that the fire began when Nirin was roasting chicken over a stove and frying it using a gas stove in preparation for the Maulid Nabi celebration. At around 18:30 WIB, Nirin and his wife, Ihye, left their home to attend the Maulid Nabi event at their neighbor Sahidin’s house.
“Around 19:00 WIB, Nirin was informed by witness Holil that his house was on fire. Nirin immediately rushed back home,” said Ade on Monday (23/9).
Ade continued that Holil, along with other residents, tried to extinguish the fire using buckets. However, the fire continued to grow. Holil then decided to take a water pump from Ustadz Fauzan’s house to help extinguish the fire. Their efforts finally succeeded in putting out the fire around 21:00 WIB.
“This fire is suspected to have been caused by the homeowner’s negligence in forgetting to turn off the stove before leaving. However, Sungai Ambawang Police are still conducting further investigations to confirm the cause of the fire,” said Ade.
The semi-permanent structure made of wood and cement was completely destroyed, and the homeowner suffered an estimated financial loss of around Rp 60 million.
“Fortunately, there were no casualties in this incident. We, from the Kubu Raya Police, urge the public to be more cautious when leaving their homes. Make sure all cooking and electrical appliances are in safe conditions to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future,” he added.
